Sourdough Turkey Club Sandwich

Ingredients

  • 6 medium slices sourdough bread

  • 4 slices thick cut organic turkey

  • 4 slices thick cut bacon, cooked and fat drained

  • 1 large slicing tomato, sliced into thick slices

  • 4 romaine leaves (I opt for the crunchy center pieces from romaine hearts)

  • 2 tbsp avocado mayo

  • flaky sea salt, to taste

 
 

Instructions

  1. Toast your sourdough until it’s just golden brown and crispy. Spread a bit of mayo on each slice of bread. On the first two slices of bread lay down romaine leaves topped with tomato slices. Sprinkle the tomatoes with flaky sea salt.’

  2. Place a slice of bread, mayo side up, on top of the tomatoes. Lay down turkey slices and top with bacon. Place the final slice of bread on top of the bacon, mayo side down.

  3. (Optional) Place a long tooth pick on each side of the sandwich and cut in half. Serve immediately.
