Spinach Turkey Burgers

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb ground turkey

  • 3 cups spinach, roughly chopped

  • 4 green onions, thinly sliced

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 tbsp fresh oregano

  • 1 tsp sea salt

  • freshly cracked black pepper, to taste

  • 3 tbsp high quality cooking oil (i.e. avocado, beef tallow, coconut oil, ghee)

 
 

Instructions

  1. Mix turkey, spinach, green onions, garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper in a large bowl. Use your hands to mix everything together. Form 6 large patties.

  2. Heat a pan over medium heat. Add cooking oil. Once the oil is hot, add the patties, working in batches if needed. Cook for 5 minutes, flip, and cook another 5 minutes, until the burgers reach an internal temperature of 165º.

  3. Serve as is or on a gluten-free bun or lettuce wrap!

MEAL PREP NOTE: store in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days. If freezing, place a small sheet of parchment paper between each burger and store in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 3 months.
