Homemade Hummus

Ingredients

  • 3 cups chickpeas (about 2 14 oz cans, drained and rinsed)

  • 1 cup tahini

  • 5 tbsp lemon juice (about 2 lemons)

  • 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

  • 2-3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tsp cumin

  • 1 tsp sea salt

  • 3 ice cubes

  • water or reserved chickpea liquid, to thin

 
 

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients except for the water/chickpea liquid in a food processor and puree until smooth.

  2. Slowly drizzle in water or chickpea liquid until the hummus is your desired consistency. Drizzle with extra olive oil and a bit of paprika and serve.
