Homemade Hummus
Ingredients
3 cups chickpeas (about 2 14 oz cans, drained and rinsed)
1 cup tahini
5 tbsp lemon juice (about 2 lemons)
3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
2-3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp sea salt
3 ice cubes
water or reserved chickpea liquid, to thin
Instructions
Combine all ingredients except for the water/chickpea liquid in a food processor and puree until smooth.
Slowly drizzle in water or chickpea liquid until the hummus is your desired consistency. Drizzle with extra olive oil and a bit of paprika and serve.
